Of the 572 vehicles that were screened at a DUI checkpoint conducted by the UCSB police department last Saturday on Los Carneros Road near Isla Vista, 10 people were arrested or cited. One driver was arrested for driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit of .08. Five minors were cited for having alcohol in their car. Three were ticketed for driving without a license. One person was arrested because he or she was under the age of 21 and had a blood-alcohol content of .05. Nine of the 10 were not affiliated with UCSB, according to DUI stats from its police department.
