Buellton, Calif., April 28, 2014 – The Santa Barbara County Farm Bureau and its 501 (c) (3) affiliate the GAATE Foundation are pleased to introduce their newly implemented Teacher’s Hall of Fame. We have all known many great teachers and administrators who understand the importance of agriculture and how it affects our daily lives. These men and women realize the survival of this vital industry depends on educating and encouraging the next generation of decision-makers and have gone that “extra mile” to incorporate agriculture into their classroom lessons.

The GAATE Foundation would like you to help us show appreciation for their years of service to this county by nominating them for the Teacher’s Hall of Fame.

Anyone, excluding relatives, may nominate an exemplary Santa Barbara County teacher for the Teacher’s Hall of Fame consideration. An eligible nominee is a teacher or administrator, K-12, who has implemented a unique agricultural curriculum into their classroom and has taught for a minimum of 10 years in Santa Barbara County.

An annual induction ceremony will be held in the spring to honor the inductees.

Nominations are accepted from July 1 to February 1, annually. Nomination forms and guidelines are available on our website at sbcfb.com under the programs tab or by contacting the Santa Barbara County Farm Bureau office at 805-688-7479 or via email at farmsbc@hwy246.net.
