About TV Santa Barbara

TV Santa Barbara (TVSB) is the only non-­profit, community public television network and media arts center in Santa Barbara that provides locally-­produced cable and internet programming–connecting local people to local resources and information through live and recorded coverage of community events, business, education, and entertainment. TVSB helps anyone to create content, learn and use the latest media technology, and develop and perfect their production skills to achieve their personal and professional goals through digital media.

Our individual, corporate, academic, nonprofit and government members have access to top quality media production equipment, a professional staff and state-­of-­the-­art facilities that offer high-­definition capabilities—including, 6 new edit bays for post-­production. Additionally, in support of local youth and education, TVSB proudly presents its Youth Media Arts Program, with Media Maker Workshops for Youth, and Media U, offering media courses in field production, studio crew and control room, and editing taught by recognized industry professionals.

TV Santa Barbara airs on Cox Communications, channels 17 and 71, TVSB’s YouTube channel and Roku station. TVSB’s Media Arts Center is centrally located in downtown Santa Barbara, California.

Incorporated in 2002, TV Santa Barbara carries on the 30 year tradition of non-­commercial community programming in Santa Barbara, led by Executive Director, Matt Schuster, a highly recognized community television leader and recipient of several coveted industry awards, including the “National Buske Leadership Award” given to one recipient annually.
