31st Annual Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Health Fair is Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Santa Ynez Valley Marriott in Buellton

Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital (SYVCH) is having its 31st Annual Health Fair on Saturday, October 5, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott Hotel, 555 McMurray Road in Buellton. Admission is FREE and the public of all ages are welcome to attend this popular event. More than 40 vendor/display booths, giveaways and refreshments will be available as well as FREE seasonal flu shots (first come, first vaccinated; pregnant women and children under age 18 ineligible); free blood pressure checks and plenty of free information about SYVCH including the new MRI services as well as Comprehensive Imaging, Out-Patient Surgery, 24-hour Emergency Department, Nutrition, Lifeline, Cardio Pulmonary Rehabilitation and more.

Prize drawings for 31 free gift bags will be held throughout the Health Fair in celebration of the 31st anniversary of this longstanding community event. Plus, the SYVCH Auxiliary will hold their annual jewelry sale fundraiser during the Health Fair again this year, featuring assorted necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings ranging from $5 – $15 each with all proceeds benefiting SYVCH.

The Health Fair is staffed by volunteers from SYVCH, the auxiliary and the SYVCH foundation board; all coordinated and hosted by the Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the hospital. Additionally, SYVCH Lab discount coupons will be available at the event for diabetes screening, heart disease screening and PSA (prostate screening) blood tests. A limited number of discounted DEXA (bone density screenings, a doctors referral is required) at $144 and digital screening-only mammograms at $174 are available in advance by calling and making an appointment at 805-686-3967.
