Postpartum Education for Parents’ 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck Event Coming in September, Tickets on Sale Now
Postpartum Education for Parents’ (PEP) 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck event will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2013, from 10am-3pm, at the Elks Lodge (150 N. Kellogg Avenue) in Goleta. Touch-A-Truck is a fun, family community event where your child has the opportunity to learn about and explore trucks, construction vehicles, and public safety equipment. Kids of all ages will love to climb, sit-in, honk horns and experience all sorts of trucks and vehicles including a helicopter.
Refreshments and food will be available for purchase. There will be vendors and exhibitors on “Truck Alley” and a fun zone with bounce houses and a hands-on truck washing station for the kids. This year, the Touch-A-Truck event also includes a raffle. The raffle features great prizes generously donated by outstanding local companies, individuals and nonprofits alike.
Tickets for the event are available for purchase at the Touch-A-Truck website (info@peptouchatruck.org). Touch-A- Truck admission is $20 for a family and $5 for an individual. A special offer is available for a limited time only. Tickets purchased before the event will be automatically entered into a special prize drawing.
Touch-A-Truck is PEP’s largest fundraiser of the year and is a success because of the continued support of the community. For over 35 years, PEP has offered social and emotional support, education and community resources to families in the Santa Barbara. PEP’s mission is to ease the adjustment of the developing family after the arrival of an infant.
