Remarking on the beauty and kindness seen by tourists, often missed by those more familiar with the scene.

Don’t you see what I see?

You’re standing in honey.

When stuck in sludge that sweet,

Sometimes you lose your feet —

Hovering above the ground,

Detached from all around,

Deaf to nearby kindness,

Numb to the warm brightness,

Blind to the beauty of

the land you claim to love.
