A man shot 11/25/12 on the city’s Eastside recently awakened from a coma and is assisting the SBPD with its investigation, police spokesperson Sgt. Riley Harwood said on 3/12. The man, 39 at the time, was found lying in the street in the 1100 block of Bregante Lane and suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen that was considered life-threatening. Immediately following the incident, police said there was no indication the shooting was gang-related. Harwood explained this week that no other details — including the victim’s name or if police have identified any suspects or persons of interest — are being released at this time.
