Known for producing site-driven Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and sparkling wines, Riverbench opens its door alongside the upcoming Figueroa Mountain Brewery, Cutler’s Artisan Spirits, The Lark Restaurant, and Lucky Penny.

Located on Anacapa Street, the tasting room is designed in an Urban Farmhouse aesthetic. Original wood planks from the San Ramon Chapel in Santa Maria flank one wall. Local craftsmen hand made the metal brackets and purse hooks on the tasting room bar.

General Manager Laura Booras says of the new location, “For residents in the Southland, downtown Santa Barbara is the gateway to wine country. Wine lovers will stop by here first, on their way up to visit the Santa Ynez and Santa Maria Valleys. We are also so pleased to see so many Santa Barbara locals stop by. In the short time that we’ve been here, we’ve been made to feel very welcomed and it’s great that folks are starting to stop by our tasting room, on their way home from work, to pick up a bottle for dinner.”

Founded in 1973, Riverbench Vineyard & Winery is a flagship Santa Maria Valley winery. Located on Foxen Canyon Road, the mother property includes a restored, 1920’s Craftsman-style farmhouse, where guests can taste through the estate-wine program. Winemaker Clarissa Nagy employs a classical approach in the cellar; making wines that truly reflect their vineyard origins, while displaying varietal honesty.

The new Riverbench Tasting Room is located at 137 Anacapa Street, Suite C, in downtown Santa Barbara, and is open daily from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. To learn more about Riverbench Vineyard and Winery, please visit www.riverbench.com.
