Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital’s 50th Annual Holiday Gala Raises Funds for Local Healthcare Services
The event was jointly coordinated by the SYVCH Foundation and the SYVCH Auxiliary with all monies raised donated to the hospital.
Tresha Sell, 50th President of the SYVCH Auxiliary remarked, “The theme of this year’s gala honored the Auxiliary as we celebrated our first 50 years of service. We were pleased to have more than 270 people in attendance at the Gala bringing together donors, employees and Auxiliary members who bid on more than 85 silent auction items donated by generous local businesses; and Santa Barbara Bank & Trust staff Cyndi Hunter and Jeanette McKibbin served as volunteer ‘cashiers’. All wine served at the event was donated by area vintners. We enjoyed a delicious dinner then danced to a live band, Sloane & The Smooth Tones. We are so grateful for the continuing support we receive at this event to fulfill our mission to keep medical excellence close to home.”
Founded in 1962, the SYVCH Auxiliary is an all-volunteer organization providing more than 18,000 service hours annually to the hospital. Volunteers operate the “New to You” thrift shop at 1689 Oak Street in Solvang where all money earned supports the hospital.
