Because of the super cold temperatures in the forecast, Santa Barbara County’s Freedom Warming Centers — temporary homeless shelters set up during inclement weather — will be open from January 10 to January 15. Their times of operation are 6 p.m.-6 a.m., and the number to call for updated information is (805) 324-2372. Here’s a list of where and when Warming Centers are scheduled throughout the county:
— Trinity Episcopal Church; 1500 State Street, Santa Barbara; January 10 and 11 only.
— First Presbyterian Church; 21 East Constance Street, Santa Barbara; January 12 and 15 only.
— St. Michael’s University Religious Center; 6585 Picasso Road, Isla Vista; January 13 and 15 only.
— Carpinteria Community Church; 1111 Vallecito Road, Carpinteria; January 13 and 15 only.
— Good Samaritan Shelter; 401 West Morrison Road #B, Santa Maria; January 10 through 15.
— Bridge House Shelter; 2025 Sweeney Road, Lompoc; January 10 through 15
