The Refillery just opened their doors with a great new concept for Santa Barbara that can do both. Bring in your clean bottles to the store to refill the items you use daily and help eliminate the trash we’re creating collectively. With over 30 items offered by the ounce that are all natural, free of harsh chemicals like phthalates and priced competitively, it lends a great new way to get your household products.
Our goal is to refill 2,000 bottles this year to cut the amount of trash that’s ending up in our landfills, and sadly, our oceans. We’re committed to making an impact on the environment with every action we take. That’s why in addition to offering green products in a fresh way, The Refillery also donates 5% of proceeds of different items to The Santa Barbara Channelkeepers, the World Wildlife Foundation, and the Santa Barbara Community Environmental Council. We want to make buying your sunscreen, baby lotion, even soy candles a rewarding experience that allows you to have an impact today. One. Bottle. At. A. Time.
For those of you who are sensitive to fragrance, you’ll be excited to know that nearly all of the items The Refillery carries are scent free. It presents a fun opportunity to personalize your body and household products with our 50 fragrances and oils. You can choose up to five at no additional cost to create unique gift (for you or your friends).
The Refillery also offers eco-friendly products that go hand in hand with living more sustainably and have a mission driven backbone. A great project we support is Matter Inc. bird soaps which donate 50% of their proceeds to the Gulf Coast clean up after the BP oil spill (with $18k donated so far). We offer tote bags from United By Blue which clean up one pound of trash from our waterways with each purchase (118,000 pounds of trash picked up and counting). The wallets and bags from Torrain are made from recycled feed bags and employ displaced farmers and those affected by polio or landmines.
We’re excited to offer natural products with complete transparency in our ingredients, never tested on animals, minimalistic packaging that’s reusable, while striving to give back with every purchase.
