Eduardo Cortez, a senior at Pioneer Valley High School in Santa Maria, took home top prize in the Santa Barbara Arts Commission’s 2013 Poetry Out Loud competition. Cortez was one of thousands of students from across the nation to compete in the annual recitation contest. For more info, visit poetryoutloud.org.
