PRESS RELEASE / ANNOUNCEMENTS Saturday, February 9, 2013

Keigwin+Co - DANCEworks in cooperation with SB Dance Alliance Open Call

Keigwin and company are recruiting dancers for the shooting of a music video, to take place on February 12th.

We’ve figured out a way for Larry to not only create new work for his dancers, which is the purpose of their 2013 DANCEworks residency, but also to join forces with the community in a music video! Those of you who worked with Larry the last time he was at DANCEworks, know this is an unforgettable experience.

Here’s what you need to know:

He wants YOUR participation in the making of a celebratory music video to be shot in the early part of his residency in various Santa Barbara locations. Dance alongside Keigwin + Company dancers to help promote the company’s Lobero Theatre performances March 1 and 2. The video will be shown at the performances too, for all your friends and family to see. With your help, we’re going to try and make it go “viral” on youtube!

Dancers and non-dancers of all ages welcome! Yes, you can invite anyone who is interested!!!

The schedule is intense, but for one week only.

To participate, you must be able to attend the Open Call and all rehearsals and both video shoots. The Open Call is not an audition, but an opportunity to learn more about the project and to commit. If you show up and commit to the rehearsals, etc., you’re in like Flynn. Be ready to start working that night.

Open Call and rehearsals are at the Lobero Theatre, unless told otherwise. Performances will be March 1 & 2 at the Lobero Theatre

Register by emailing your full name and email address to Sheila Caldwell at sheila@sbdancealliance.org today!
