Preliminary Numbers Released in Homeless Count

Preliminary numbers from last month’s homeless Vulnerability Index survey showed 1,445 total individual contacts and 174 family contacts, according to officials. While the data still needs to be broken down and analyzed, the number is down from the 1,536 counted in 2011’s survey. This year’s contacts with the homeless included 222 previously surveyed people, making the number of new individual contacts even smaller.
