The wreckage of bullet-riddled televisions, computers, and other appliances — along with heaps of shell casings, metal debris, and trash — was scooped from the popular Glass Factory shooting range during an organized cleanup last week. Headed by the Shooting Sports Association, the event drew 93 volunteers who, with the help of a backhoe and tractor, removed 35-40 tons of refuse. The Glass Factory is situated on East Camino Cielo Road in the Los Padres National Forest and is administered by the U.S. Forest Service. The last big cleanup took place in February 2012.
