Digital Arts: California is pleased to announce that David Mark Lane has been chosen to exhibit at the international online juried exhibit “Simply the Best 2”. Our judges have selected David from a highly-competitive field of talented digital artists from more than 27 countries.

David’s works, including “spot dots pinch” and “qr code man”, are brilliant examples of Digital Painting, and range in subject from colorful, Javanese-inspired cloth patterns to eye-popping Quick Response Code silhouettes.

David, from Santa Barbara, CA, is a prolific, multi-talented artist, with work in digital art, photography and architecture. Much of his recent work has been digitally-based, from Photoshop “digital expansion”, to “spot dots”, to creative use of bar codes and QR codes – while incorporating symbols, Marilyn Monroe and Joan Miro.

Much of David’s work is California-themed: “One of my first Muses …the State of California”. His first solo exhibit, “California Style”, was held in Santa Barbara, and his “Betty + Gordon” show at the Evans Exhibit in Hermosa Beach. He has been a featured artist in “Artslant-Los Angeles”, the “#1 Contemporary Art Network”.

David is a graduate of the University of Colorado, School of Environmental Design, and is an AIA member.
