Kathryn Korte Named 2012 Woman of Influence
Considered one of the most influential news sources on the real estate economy in the country, HousingWire focuses on all aspects of housing news including lending, investments, services and real estate operations. For the “Women of Influence” issue, HousingWire readers submitted nearly 200 nominees, 30 of which were recognized with the prestigious honor.
HousingWire selected Korte because of her long list of achievements at the company, including her rise from administrative assistant to President and CEO and her contributions to the company’s growth in key markets. The company’s ranking as the most prestigious real estate company according to a survey conducted by The Luxury Institute as well as its regular appearances in The Wall Street Journal’s annual rankings of the country’s top agents by sales volume all occurred under Korte’s leadership.
Korte was also recognized for helping to launch the company’s corporate responsibility program, through which agents can make closing donations to Conservation International in order to help protect endangered forest and ocean environments around the world. The company has so far helped to protect over 27,000 acres of forest and over 400 square miles of ocean.
