CAF is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacquelyn Klein-Brown, known for her unwavering interest in contemporary art and experience with non-profit arts organizations, as President of the Board of Trustees for the Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum. Outgoing Board President, Carolyn Glasoe states, CAF is “on the cusp of so many exciting things and there is no one better to take over than Jacquelyn. She loves CAF as much as I do and I know with her previous board experience she is the one to lead us forward.”

Exposed to art at an early age by her family, who are avid art collectors, Klein-Brown continued to nurture her passion for the visual arts through studies in Art History at University of Texas at Austin, actively collecting contemporary art, and participating in museum groups. Klein-Brown has extensive experience in the arts including 12 years on the board at Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, FL. During her tenure there as Vice-Chairman, she worked closely with MoCA North Miami Board Chairman, Irma Braman and educated herself on board policies and expansion.

Klein-Brown assisted with selecting artwork for public display while on the Broward County Public Art & Design Committee, which was instrumental in bringing artwork to the county’s libraries, airport, and other venues. Her non-profit experience also includes a stint on the Funding Arts Broward founding board, an organization that cultivates and supports the arts through grants in Broward County. A five-year resident of Santa Barbara County, Klein-Brown joined the CAF board in 2008 shortly after moving to town and has served as Co-Vice-President since September 2010. In 2011 she served as Co-Chairman for CAF’s 14th Annual Valentine’s Benefit Auction.

Of her new appointment as Board President, Jacquelyn Klein-Brown says, “I am grateful to have the opportunity to be involved with CAF during an exciting window of development and growth. I am fortunate to be working with a Board, Executive Director, and staff who have great vision, and a community who lends tremendous support and willingness to enable CAF to evolve.“
