Barbara Savage, President of the Tribal Trust Foundation will host Native Gardens at a private home in Montecito on Sunday, December 2nd from 1-4:00 p.m. This benefit is open to the public with a donation to the Tribal Trust Foundation of $20 per person. Native Gardens brings together a talented group of ecologically minded experts to discuss their unique ideas to promote living in harmony with nature. Presenters include:

  • Joshua Burman Thayer, an ecological landscape designer, who focuses on a sense of place for each landscape, will discuss California native plants, food forests and habitat creation.
  • MaryAnn Burman is a certified Aesthetic Pruner, a Healing Touch Practitioner and a Labyrinth Facilitator. She will demonstrate how to bring harmony into your landscape.
  • Paul Cronshaw of the Santa Barbara Beekeepers Association will focus his talk on native hummingbirds and honey bees as pollinators.
  • Barbara Wishingrad, Program Manager of Santa Barbara Green Living Co-op will discuss community-based watershed management.

Funds raised at Native Gardens will support the Tribal Trust Foundation’s work to preserve the living arts and culture of indigenous people.
