A July trial date for the city’s proposed gang injunction has been abandoned to give city attorneys more time to petition the juvenile court for information. Attorneys representing the city, the District Attorney’s Office, and named defendants of the controversial injunction were in court Monday morning for a status hearing. City attorneys are seeking information under seal of the juvenile court to bolster their case for the need for a gang injunction. The new tentative trial date is October 1.

Another excruciatingly slow judicial proceeding thanks to the Honorable Colleen Sterne. The Attorney's are dragging their feet and who is paying for all of this??? How many more crimes will be perpetrated by these individuals in the mean time? I have seen other judges turn up the heat and move things along. It is time this judge does the same. Where is my right to a speedy trial for these winners?

The above article calls the Injunction "controversial" as it has been called in many articles before.
Why is the Injunction controversial? Oh, yeah, that's right, some folks seem to feel that gang scum have the right to act as gang scum.
They're "misunderstood youth" or they're "acting out" or they're "good boys, they don't hurt nobody."
More reasons made & efforts spent to keep these vermin out of jail than attempts to protect innocent, hard working, tax paying citizens.
Pass it already! The REAL people of SB & surrounding areas are tired of the gang scum. Whatever it takes to lock em' away works fine, just implement it :) henry
