The Dish: An Atascadero favorite since 1976 has opened its second location in Santa Barbara this April. Nardonne’s La Famiglia Pizzeria serves up Sicilian-style thick-crust pies on a silver platter — yes, literally a silver pizza platter. Cozy booth-lined walls form the perimeter of the late-night spot, which also delivers locally. Hearty square slices are a far cry from the thin-triangle New York slice and ooze with flavorful cheeses. Choose from 12″ to 16″ pizzas with anywhere from one topping to upward of four. Nardonne’s Special Sandwich boasts the Italian trifecta of meats — pepperoni, prosciutto, and salami — stacked on layers of sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, and pepperoncini. They’re open until 2 a.m. on weekends.
