The store is temporarily housed in the courtyard walkway of the Montecito Country Mart, directly across from the main entrance to Von’s grocery.

“We have resumed carrying more than top 200 popular magazines, plus international weeklies,” said store manager Jan Hendrickson. “Our temporary space is small, but we still have a notable selection of magazines.”

Hendrickson added: “We also have a variety of greeting cards from a new company, Design Design, and soon we expect to add several old favorite Papyrus cards.”

Newspapers will be on sale starting July 2, said Hendrickson. The store also stocks small gifts and other items that were sold in its former location.

The temporary Read ‘n Post address is 1026-E Coast Village Road. It is four doors away from its companion post office, which has been open since mid-May.

Later this summer, both the Read ‘n Post store and post office will be moving permanently to a larger space, also in the Montecito Country Mart, where Riverblue Salon is now located.

In their temporary quarters, the store and post office are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday store hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and post office hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both are closed on Sunday.

“We continue to appreciate the support of our loyal customers during this time of transition,” said Hendrickson, “and we invite everyone to visit both the store and post office in their temporary locations.”
