The northbound lanes of Highway 101 near Gaviota State Park will be closed for 2-3 weeks beginning 7/9 to replace a drainage culvert under the highway, Caltrans said this week. Drivers traveling northbound will be detoured onto southbound 101 lanes. The two southbound lanes will be reduced to one in each direction through the Gaviota Pass area. Both Gaviota Roadside Rest Areas will also be shut down during the $1.5-million emergency repair project.
