Ben Weiner brings to the MTF board a breadth of experience first as a real property lawyer as well as a negotiator/mediator. He is also a long standing environmentalist.

The nomination was held to elect the 2012 Executive Committee confirming the following results:

  • President, Kevin Snow
  • Vice President, Bobbi King
  • Secretary, Sheila Snow
  • Treasurer, Gail Young

The sixteen member board has worked diligently the past year producing successful results in many areas.

The 2011 Annual Autumn Barbecue was its most successful fundraiser to date.

Membership has increased, well exceeding 750.

Continuous hard work and dedication has gone into maintaining and preserving the 300 miles of community trails that the foundation tends.

An updated Website will soon be available in order to serve the membership more efficiently and to also include inter-active capabilities.

Michael Finley, executive director of Land Trust of Santa Barbara provided an update on the status of the Hot Springs Trail which has an extended escrow until February 22, 2012.

Jane Murray proudly reported that the Franklin Trail has reached its financial goal with 230 pledges.

The Montecito Trail Foundation looks forward 2012, servicing the needs of the hikers, bikers and horse back riders using the panoramic trails that we are blessed to have here in Santa Barbara.
