8th Annual Free Dentistry Day

In the past 7 years, Dr. Johnson and his staff, sponsors, and volunteers have helped hundreds of people in urgent need of dental work—treating patients with free fillings, extractions and cleanings. This year’s event promises to be the largest yet with the recent completion of their new 18 chair location on State Street. This day is dedicated to serving the local communities with a free day of dental to anyone and everyone in need.

“Now more than ever, I know there are people out there that need our services, but have no means to afford them—whether they’re out of a job, or just don’t have dental insurance. Dentistry with Love day is our way of giving back to the community, and being there for the people who are in need of dental work,” said Dr. Steven Johnson.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at all Johnson Family Dental locations in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Solvang. During this event, patients will be seen on a first come-first serve basis and may choose any one of the following procedures; a filling, tooth extraction or cleaning at one of the following offices:

Donations are accepted and will go directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). In March of 2010, Braxton, the son of Steven Johnson, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, so this foundation is very special to Johnson Family Dental. JDRF was founded in 1970 by parents of children with Type 1 Diabetes. This foundation is the worldwide leader in funding research to cure Type 1 Diabetes, an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly and lasts a lifetime. Johnson Family Dental is proud to be associated with the JDRF as an official sponsor and advocate since 2010.
