The California Supreme Court denied a petition for review from Steve Pappas in his case against 3rd District Supervisor Doreen Farr. Pappas had protested the amount of attorney’s fees a superior court judge ruled he owed Farr after his failed contest to the 2008 election (He also lost the 2012 election to her). Now, Pappas not only owes the $525,000 from the original failed lawsuit but also owes interest on that amount, as well as attorneys fees for the time spent fighting the recent failed appeal.

Pappas next appeal is to the Federation Council of the United Federation of Planets.
He thinks it looks promising.

I would bet that Pappas will attempt to appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States. I cannot imagine that SCOTUS would even consider such an appeal. In the mean time, I wonder if the law stimpulates that Pappas has to pay? I also wonder if Nancy Crawford-Hall is willing to pay the bill? I am reminded of Don Quixote leading poor hapless Sancho Panza into the arms of the windmills. Only this time, it is poor Sancho (i.e., Steve Pappas) who got tilted.

They wanted to deny his existence but that proved impossible.

I'm all for access to the courts to litigate legitimate claims, but how many times does a guy sitting up on a bench have to tell this guy that he lost this one?

Pappas is like that pseudo-publisher McCaw in that HE keeps getting slapped down in court and still doesn't know it, and SHE has been so slapped down in the court of public opinion [her rag's circulation is down over 50% & it's the only daily in town] and she still doesn't get it.
