Stop the Madness

Why extend the Bikestation contract for even one year when it is such a failure? It sounds like once again the City Council just likes to spend our money on useless things like bulb-outs, crumbling brick crosswalks, annoying roundabout traffic calming devices, and now $25,000 to run a bike-storage area in a parking garage. There must be a way for our city workers to be in charge of such a program. Or at least hire Bici Centro, who sound like they would do far more for the bike-riding public than Bikestation does and for far less money.
