I went to the new Greyhound Bus station by the Santa Barbara train station today to pick up my daughter. Inside on the wall was an old sign – just the dog, with holes for the neon. Hoping it was a remnant from the Santa Barbara sign that was said to be demolished, I asked the ticket agent (same agent, from old Carrillo station). He said it was from Sacramento, at least 40 years old, and had been in storage up there. Makes you wonder if our old Santa Barbara sign really was destroyed.
