“It was important to me to engage someone who was from the local community, who shares my passion for Pinot Noir and who understands the special qualities of the Sta. Rita Hills. Rob brings a wealth of wine experience and is most eager to dive into the Fiddlehead challenge”, comments Joseph.

Rob comes to Fiddlehead after 7 years of sales and marketing at Au Bon Climat and Qupé Wineries. He enthusiastically explains, “What a fantastic opportunity – to represent a brand in which I truly believe, in an industry that I know and love. Kathy, with 30 years of celebrated winemaking, is a pioneering winemaker in the Santa Rita Hills and was instrumental in its establishment as an AVA. She continues her leadership in the industry by promoting the virtues of cool climate viticulture and the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, and through her crafting of exquisite wines – wines with marvelous texture, depth of character, balance and grace. I am thrilled to represent Fiddlehead Cellars and am eager to share these fantastic wines with the wine-drinking community.”

Prior to the wine industry, Rob Fry was a Development Officer with Direct Relief International, one of the nation’s most highly-regarded international aid agencies. He brings with him a wealth of sales and marketing experience from a number of specialized industries.

Fiddlehead Cellars is dedicated to limited production, place-driven Pinot Noir from the “Sta. Rita Hills” and “Willamette Valley” AVAs and distinctive Sauvignon Blanc from the Santa Ynez Valley’s “Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara” AVA.
