County Employee Accused of Credit Card Misuse

A report from the County Auditor-Controller’s Office alleges several credit card purchases by Mosquito and Vector Management District General Manager Brian Passaro were of alcohol, children’s items, hotel movies and other unallowable items at purchases like Arigato Sushi, the Brewhouse, and Derf’s Café. The auditor-controller’s report on the special district also found there was a lack of transparency in expenditures and a lack of oversight by the Board of Trustees.
