• Center of the Heart is a nonprofit, nondenominational spiritual center in S.B. The organization will be hosting a Rummage Sale on Saturday, November 19, to help pay for its property taxes and is seeking item donations from community members to help stock the sale. • On Sunday, November 13, Mon Amie Salon (802 E. Haley St.) will host A Day of Beauty and Dog Adoption Fair. The salon will donate 50 percent of proceeds from salon services like haircuts, nail treatments, and facials to one of five dog rescue organizations in the area — including DAWG, K-9 PALS, and others. Adoptable pooches will also be onsite looking for potential forever owners. The event runs from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; appointments are recommended. Call 962-1124 for more info.
