On top of encouraging local children to read and visit the Library to earn reading incentives, Santa Barbara Public Library System’s Summer Reading Program “One World, Many Stories” includes weekly performances for families. These free events are sponsored by Friends of the Library groups.

This week, visit the library to enjoy stories, songs and more with Storyteller-Ventriloquist-Songstress Sandi Sylver and the kid-sized puppets she calls “the Girls.” She is a gifted Ventriloquist who loves encouraging adults as well as children to read, write, and reinvent themselves along the way! An Illinois Arts Council Touring Roster Artist, Sandi Sylver is committed to entertaining and educating, and she performs nationally. Be ready for a high-energy and interactive performance that will fascinate!

Shows will be held at all Santa Barbara Public Library System locations as follows:

Tuesday July 12th at Goleta Library at 10:30am & Central Library at 3:00pm

Wednesday July 13th at Solvang Library at 10:30am & Montecito Library at 4:00pm

Thursday July 14th at Carpinteria Library at 10:30am & Eastside Library at 2:30pm
