WEST BEACHED?

Following last Wednesday’s public hearing and a whole lot of public scuffling, Twiin Productions’ annual West Beach Music Festival will return to the sand this summer. In a 3-2 vote, the Parks and Recreation Committee decided to grant the company a permit for this year’s fest, but demanded that the festival be limited to 8,500 people per day and that live music will be played for fewer hours over the event’s three-day duration.

SURF’S UP

This Saturday, March 29 at 6 p.m., Carpinteria’s Anderson Art Collective (410 Palm Ave.) hosts a reception for their new exhibit, Rogue Wave II. The show, featuring contemporary surf-inspired works from Will Adler, Kevin Ancell, Jay Kelly, and others, runs through August 8. Visit andersonartcollective.com for info.
