Volunteers Needed for I.V. GIVE Sale
• The Isla Vista Adopt-a-Block group is seeking volunteers for this year’s I.V. GIVE Sale, an annual event that allows Isla Vista residents to drop off household items and clothing that they no longer need at the end of the school year—and possibly acquire new ones for their next apartments or houses. All proceeds from the sale are donated to S.B.-based nonprofits, and all unsold items are given to area homeless shelters. Volunteers are needed before the sale—from June 9-18—to help organize, sort, and price donations. Call 968-2017 or email cleaniv@ivparks.org for more info.
