Bark for Life Event to Raise Funds for American Cancer Society; Junior League To Host Kids in the Kitchen Event
1. Help raise funds for cancer research by jogging with your dog! Celebrate the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life fundraising marathon with your four-legged friends this year at Bark for Life. The mini-relay takes place on Saturday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chase Palm Park (E. Cabrillo Blvd.). Registration is $25. Call 560-6573 for more info.
2. Next week, the Junior League of Santa Barbara wants you in the kitchen at the Kids in the Kitchen Health Fair. Kindergarten through 6th-grade children are invited to learn healthy eating and lifestyle choices, while having fun at the same time. The Fair takes place on Saturday, March 20, at Franklin Elementary School (1111 E. Mason St.) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is by donation. Call 963-2704 for more info.
