Location Location Location

I thought Earth Day was about the earth and sustainability; not popcorn, hot dogs, and beer. I have been participating and attending Earth Day for years. But now as I think about it, I realize that the food vendors and the beer “garden” occupied the main area, and the people and tables representing organic gardening, permaculture and water conservation, were the furthest away from the main area. Next year, I would like to see the main area surrounded by the people promoting organic gardening, permaculture, and water conservation; and if someone wants popcorn and a beer, thy can walk across the street for it.—James Smallwood
