This week, don’t miss the League of Women Voters’ latest Candidate Forum. The nonpartisan gathering, the league’s first concerning this year’s June 8 primary election, will help voters learn more about the candidates running for the office of S.B. County tax collector-treasurer-public administrator—as well as about the office itself. (The position is currently held by Bernice James, who is not seeking reelection.) The forum will include a moderated panel discussion with the candidates followed by a Q&A session, during which audience members will have a chance to interact with the contenders. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. on Tue., Apr. 13, at the Goleta Valley Community Center (5679 Hollister Ave.). Call 965-2422 for more info.
