Southern California Gas Pains

Santa Barbara residents, did you read your “Notification of Application Filing by Southern California Gas Company, Wildfire Claims Recovery,” which came in your September bill?

Please read the attachment for justification to increase our gas bills because the gas company was not adequately insured-so they want to set up the “authority” to have a “mechanism to allow the Utilities to recover uninsured losses.”

Why wouldn’t they just insure themselves properly as opposed to passing the expense on to the consumer for not insuring themselves properly in the first place?-Irene Henry
