Yahoo!Children shouldn’t get to have all the candied fun this time of year, and luckily, the Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center’s third annual Chocolate de Vine fixes that problem. Not only will you get to delight in the most fantastic, delicious chocolate from chocolatiers and pastry chefs—such as Chocolats du CaliBressan, Renaud’s, and Jessica Foster Confections—but you will also get to wash it down with wonderful wine from producers such as Fess Parker, Rideau, and Whitcraft. The event features a judged competition of chocolate creations and presents five awards, including Best Tabletop Presentation and Outstanding Flavor Appeal, and you even get to vote on a People’s Choice Award when not indulging yourself or bidding on silent auction items. Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center, founded in 1974 to support survivors of sexual assault, offers a 24-hour hotline, crisis and long-term counseling, self-defense programs, and sexual assault prevention education programs.
