Santa Barbara Police have arrested three people for the alleged murder of a 22-year-old Hispanic male victim, whose body was found just before 7 a.m. Sunday on the street on the 400 block of De la Vina.

Police said the incident is not gang related and wouldn’t release the names of the arrested suspects “due to the integrity of the investigation,” according to Sgt. Lorenzo Duarte. The name of the victim hasn’t been released either, though Duarte said it appears some of the suspects knew the victim.

Duarte said a witness saw four people assaulting another man the night prior, at about 9:30. The suspects ran south and got in a vehicle, while the victim was seen running north. The next morning, responding to a resident call, police arrived on-scene to find the victim, dead from multiple stab wounds to his upper torso.
