Consider us solidly small-town, but snow in Santa Barbara is just enough of a rare occurrence to make us giddy.

With his Flip camera, Independent.com Webmaster Robert LeBlanc captures the beginning of a Santa Barbara snow day from his San Marcos Pass hideaway - 40-plus seconds of very soft water.

LeBlanc’s last online video from his home in July, capturing all-too-close views of the Gap Fire before his evacuation.

He also filmed the locally legendary rock band Snot in their recent reunion concert at Velvet Jones.
