• Kitty lovers needed! The Animal Shelter Assistance Program (ASAP) is a volunteer-run nonprofit that cares for the hundreds of cats and kittens at the S.B. County Animal Shelter. • Angels Bearing Gifts is an organization that has made promises to 189 developmentally disabled people without families. Volunteers visit beneficiaries on holidays with presents and are active in community outreach. The part-time staff works with donated phone, Internet, copy, and fax machine services.
