    Santa Barbara’s U.S. Representative to Talk on Arthritis, Adult Health

    Tonight (Thu., Aug. 6, 5-7pm), registered nurse and Congressmember Lois Capps will headline Take Charge: An Arthritis Update, a free lecture on adult health presented by the S.B. branch of the Arthritis Foundation, an organization that strives to educate the public about the latest in healthcare, medication, treatment, and advocacy. Other special guest speakers include Susan Lemon, an S.B. rheumatologist, and Karen Anderson, RN. The lecture will cover such topics as healthcare reform news from Congress, arthritis treatment updates and advocacy, and other adult health issues. It takes place at the University Club (1332 Santa Barbara St.). Call the Arthritis Foundation in advance at 563-4685 for seating availability and more info.
