When the Positively State Street column was born – many moons ago – its purpose was to offer readers insider info on the news, gigs, and gossip of S.B.’s flourishing music scene. In recent years, the column has strayed from its original format, but now … it’s baaack. With vast amounts of musical knowledge – and a sharp wit to boot – Indy Pop & Rock Associate Editor Aly Comingore this week joined the ranks of former State Street scribes, such as Edwin Lee and Andrew Broomhead, whose commitment to getting the skinny on all that is tuneful is legendary.
