The Twelve35 Teen Center, with its snack bar and arcade, dance, journalism, and art classes, and recording studio has been serving teenagers in our community in a positive way for one whole year. To celebrate the anniversary, the Center is hosting a week of extra fun! Besides its regular hours — Monday-Thursday from 2:30-8:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 2:30-10 p.m. — the week of March 17-21 will feature the following special activities:

Monday: Prospective members can tour the center and enjoy free membership opportunities and sundaes! 2:30-8:30 p.m.

Tuesday: From 3:30-6:30 p.m., rock out in the Guitar Hero Tournament.

Wednesday: Check out the low-rider bike show featuring the Don Riders, and learn swing dance from Derrick Curtis, from 4-5 p.m.

Thursday: View the work of local young artists in an art show and art wall contest beginning at 6 p.m.

Friday: From 7-11 p.m., listen to deejays spin, belt out a karaoke tune, and watch a performance from C-Wrek & J. Dawg. There will be raffles all night for movie passes, gift cards, Lakers tickets, a Magic Mountain trip, and an iPod!

Call the Twelve35 Teen Center at 882-1235 or visit them online at Sbparksandrecreation.com/teens for more info.
