Gap Fire Closures Reduced

Forest Service Reopens Lands Near Highway 154.

In the waning days of the Gap Fire, the U.S. Forest Service announced today that it will reopen national forest land south of East Camino Cielo Road between Highway 154 and Gibraltar Road. All national forest lands west of Highway 154 to Refugio Road will remain closed—with prohibitions to all public entry to lands, trails, and recreation sites—until further notice.

Interested parties should contact the Los Prietos Ranger Station at (805)967-3481 for more information and current conditions. For up to date information on the Gap Fire, visit www.inciweb.org.
