Sounds very optimistic. So why is the growth potential still listed as high?

"The fire is not yet wholly contained, and a shift of winds could bring it back toward homes at any time, said Debbie Becker, a U.S. Forest Service firefighter brought in from Arizona. "Everyone is very wary right now because it's a hot fire," Becker said."

Just came back from OSH - bought a small pointed-shovel (great deal, less than $10, made in China...).
Situation: "Candle falls over, wooden table gets on fire."
Old-fashioned response: "Get a bucket full of water and put in out."
Gap/Zaca response: "Start digging a 10 inch fire line around the table (and into the carpet)."
Boy, it worked!
P.S. "...it was only a SIMULATION, there was no real fire..."

Is the fire still moving west? And how far west has it traveled? Is El Capitan Canyon Camp Ground threatened? Thanks for the great coverage; you guys are THE source.

Finally got my car washed - it never looked this shiny. Maybe two weeks of ashes were good for the paint?
