This morning at 10:30 am, the Camino Real kiosk had information from 07/02 (Wednesday). Fairview's kiosk had information from 07/03 (Thursday). So much for updating daily.

For a map with all of the current evacuation areas, visit maps.google.com, and search for "Gap Fire Evacuations." I have created a map with that name, that I am updating with the evacuation order and warning areas, extent of the fire, information kiosks, and other points of interest. Feel free to leave comments on the map if there are any features you would like to see.

These kiosks are useless - as of this morning July 5th the one at Camino Real had a map of the fire perimeter as of July 2 !!
When you are evacuated and/or without power and no internet, this is the only source of information and it is two days old what a joke, why is it even there? No map at all would be more helpful and less misleading.
It's a joke and a disgrace - the Goleta City official in attendance copped an attitude when I asked why this couldn't be kept up to date - all he had when pressed for an answer was "I don't know"
