Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department detectives have apparently found a hotspot for dealing and using methamphetamine in Santa Barbara. After arresting eight subjects suspected of dealing and using methamphetamine at two places on December 21, detectives returned on January 8 to one of the houses – on the 1300 block of Sycamore Canyon Road – with a search warrant and arrested four more people. Detectives also seized firearms, packages of tar heroin, and “other paraphernalia associated with the sales of narcotics,” according to Sgt. Alexander Tipolt.

Samuel Huerta, 30, Jesse Deason, 34, Charlene Iniguez, 25, and Eric Johnson, 29, were all allegedly found to be under the influence of a controlled substance, according to Tipolt. They were arrested for a variety of charges, including violation of probation, possession of drugs or drug paraphernalia, and being under the influence of a controlled substance. All three were booked into County Jail.
