First Trout Seen At Fish Ladder

After the recent deluge of rain, the first steelhead trout of the season made its way up the Casitas fish ladder on 1/31. Caught on camera at the Casitas Robles Fish Passage Facility, the endangered 21-inch adult steelhead was followed less than 24 hours later by an estimated 25-inch adult steelhead also on its way up the Ventura River for what many hope is a successful spawning season.
